I am a mother of four, grandmother of fourteen (two in heaven), and GG of four. I have lived all over the U.S., with Grand Rapids, Minnesota, as my home base. My journey even took me to Japan, where I lived for a little over a year.

Some of you may have found it by “accident”or was it ON PURPOSE? Most of you are here from pure intention. Either way, you are truly here ON PURPOSE, and I am so grateful.
How Lisa On Purpose Began
This website is a place where I can share the treasures God has given me since 1997 and tell the story of my LIFE.
In early 1997, my world fell apart. Everything I had known was gone. My heart was shattered, and I was lost.
One Wednesday evening, I went to church, something that wasn’t unusual for me. That night, the pastor spoke about God’s will and purpose for our lives. (There are so many details, but I will save those for my next book.)
That evening, I made a promise to God: I will do whatever You want if You will just make things better.
I knew He would, I just didn’t know how.
Because I have always loved children, I assumed I would be called to serve in the church nursery or lead a Sunday school class. But to this day, I have done neither.
Instead, my family moved to Utah, and this is where “Lisa On Purpose” truly began.
The Unexpected Path: Nails
It all started with nails!
The crazy part? I never had a passion for doing nails. My love for the beauty industry began at age nine, with hair!
Remember when I told God I would do whatever He wanted if He just made things better? Well, He placed me in the nail care industry.
I arrived in Utah and quickly discovered that the state had no licensing for nail technicians. That’s right, no licensing.
God sent me to Utah to help the nail industry, and here is what happened:
• Helped Utah become a state that requires mandatory licensing for nail technicians
•Worked with TV, radio, newspapers, and online media over 20 times to expose hidden dangers in the nail care industry
•Opened Utah’s first nail tech school, teaching California standards
•Wrote Nail Care Nightmares: The Truth Behind the Beauty, now available worldwide.
Chapter 1: Pregnancy and Acrylic Nails is a topic of extreme importance, an inspired writing reviewed by experts across the U.S. and beyond.
I have been an educator and mentor in the nail care industry since 1999, training hundreds of nail techs worldwide.
Inspired Works
As if that wasn’t enough, God has also given me a few extraordinary treasured things I can only describe as inspired works of God.

There are many more God encounters I have experienced, I’ll save those for my book.
My Journey ON PURPOSE
Everything you see here is 100% what God has given me simply because I have done everything He has asked of me, no matter what. I did not set out to do any of it. I never had a plan. I just followed His direction, even when it made no sense to me.
I have stumbled THROUGH life; falling and getting back up, skinning my knees, and pushing forward through dust-covered, winding roads.
It has been one heck of a journey. Hard, yet rewarding. A love/hate journey, if I am being completely transparent but I would not change a thing.
